Sunday goals. Love soaking in baths. Add Epsom salt and Dead Sea salt for some ultimate relaxation. Take it up a notch – add a few drops of lavender essential oil to your salts for a nice bath bomb. Good for the skin, muscles and overall vitality.
Epsom salt is great at relaxing the muscles because it is high in magnesium, which your body uses for muscle contractions.
You can also find magnesium in leafy greens, nuts, and cacao.
(Ladies… another reason you might be craving chocolate right before your period, it’s because you’re deficient in magnesium.)
Dead Sea salt is high in many trace minerals which help hydrate the skin and keep it supple. It’s great at calming dry irritated skin and has been used to calm eczema.
The best part? Feeling loosey goosey and having a restful night’s sleep.

Eva
P.S. Coffee lovers… caffeine flushes magnesium out of the body quickly which can lead to tight muscles. In Chinese Medicine, coffee is considered a stimulant which can cause tension, anxiety, and palpitations. One of my favorite go to herbal formulas is called Peony and Licorice Decoction. It’s high in magnesium and when used appropriately it’s been known to help with frozen shoulder and severe muscle cramping too!
